Washington Wine

Teinnovadora is a Washington wine distributor USA working with selected wineries and partners across the United States.

Washington State is an exciting and dynamic wine region, producing wines of exceptional quality and balance.

Located east of the Cascade Mountains, Washington’s vineyards benefit from a high-desert climate with long, sun-filled days, cool nights, and minimal rainfall. These conditions allow grapes to achieve optimal ripeness while maintaining natural acidity, resulting in wines that are both expressive and elegant.

Ancient flood deposits, volcanic soils, and varied elevations create distinct terroirs, giving Washington wines a strong sense of place and remarkable consistency year after year. Unlike many large-scale wine regions, Washington remains producer-driven, with hands-on winemakers focused on craftsmanship, sustainability, and authenticity.

Still underrepresented internationally, Washington is no longer a hidden gem—it is a Rising Global Wine Region with a compelling story to tell.

Nota Bene

Nota Bene (from Latin, meaning “note well”; in wine, “drink well”) is a family-owned winery based in Seattle. Its philosophy is rooted in the tradition of the Négociant—the classic French approach of sourcing exceptional grapes from select growers to create distinctive wines that stand apart from single-vineyard expressions. Historically, the Négociant earned recognition by identifying the finest fruit and either showcasing it as a varietal or weaving it into complex, expressive blends.

With over four decades of winemaking experience, Master Vintner Tim Narby has perfected this craft in the Pacific Northwest. His wines highlight Washington’s most sophisticated grape varieties, resulting in bold, beautifully layered expressions celebrated for their depth and character. Having walked and evaluated vineyards across the state, Narby selects only the finest Washington grapes for Nota Bene—offering a true reflection of the best Washington has to offer.

Valo

Valo was founded by Michael Ruhland and Matías Kúsulas in Vancouver, Washington. Their paths first crossed in New Zealand while working at a winery—an encounter that sparked both a lasting friendship and a shared vision for winemaking.

With a background in the culinary arts, Ruhland began his career as a chef at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. While honing his craft and exploring the art of wine pairing, he started organizing curated wine dinners—an experience that ultimately inspired him to pursue winemaking as his own venture. Though his focus shifted to wine, Ruhland never left his culinary roots behind. He continues to host private, high-end dining experiences where his wines are thoughtfully paired with refined cuisine, seamlessly uniting his two passions.

Born in Chile and of Greek heritage, Kúsulas studied Agricultural Engineering at the University of Chile, specializing in Viticulture and Enology. After gaining experience in Chile’s wine industry, he embarked on an international journey to explore diverse winemaking philosophies across Oceania, Europe, and Africa. Drawn to France, he completed master’s degrees in Enology at the prestigious Universities of Bordeaux and Montpellier. His global experience—including work in New Zealand and Châteauneuf-du-Pape—eventually led him to the United States, where he now brings his depth of knowledge and international perspective to Washington wines.

Valo wines are pure, precisely framed, and impeccably balanced. Crafted in a traditional, old-world style, they honor the authenticity of Washington’s terroir. The winery’s guiding philosophy is to produce wines that faithfully express their vineyard origins, embodying elegance while remaining true to the distinct character of each grape variety. Every step—from vineyard management to winemaking—is intentional, methodical, and meticulously planned. At Valo, there is no room for chance—only purpose, precision, and respect for the land.

“These wines are thoughtful, smartly made and have a uniqueness and sincerity of expression with a sense of place that is rewarding to the drinker.” -Anthony Mueller, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Massalto

Massalto Wines was founded by Michael Ruhland and Matías Kúsulas, the same visionary duo behind Valo Wines. Their partnership began years earlier in New Zealand, where they met while working in the wine industry. What started as a chance encounter quickly evolved into a deep friendship and a shared commitment to winemaking—one rooted in curiosity, trust, and a relentless drive to create wines with meaning. Their bond extends beyond the cellar: Michael officiated Matías’s wedding to his wife, Taylor, who today plays a vital role in the company as Marketing Lead and Brand Manager.

Together, Michael, Matías, and Taylor form a dynamic creative force. Constantly exchanging ideas and challenging one another, they push boundaries while guiding the continued evolution of their brands. Their collaborative energy fuels both innovation and growth, allowing each project to develop with intention and authenticity.

At its core, Massalto is a playground for both winemaking and viticulture—a space where experimentation is not only welcomed but encouraged. The goal is not consistency for its own sake, but rather to celebrate the individuality of each vintage. Every wine is handcrafted to express personality, a strong sense of place, and a bold, unmistakable character that reflects both the vineyard and the people behind it.

The Massalto philosophy is captured in its motto: “Be fearless, drink fearlessly.” In the cellar, rules are questioned and limits are redefined. On the consumer side, Massalto invites wine lovers to step outside the familiar and embrace the unexpected. These are unorthodox yet thoughtful Washington wines, crafted with intention, creativity, and respect for the land—made for those who are curious, adventurous, and unafraid to discover something new.

MCM-Modern Wines by Mid-Century Masters

Welcome to the world of wines born in Eastern Washington and raised in Seattle with the taste and feeling of the past. MCM Wine Company is a retro inspired project of winemaker Tim Narby and his wife, Carol Bryant, both raised and nurtured by families who believed in craft wines and foods of the last century. Their wines are sourced from vineyards that care about the environment and strive to grow wine with sustainable practices that produce bountiful crops year after year.

They continue this philosophy in the cellar practices using natural fermentations where possible, particularly in our white and rosé wines. Minimal cellar intervention is the goal because the wines should be raised as they were grown.

Simplicity is their mission because wines that are handled less retain the delicate flavors we love and appreciate.

We invite you to try MCM wines and support their artisan mission!
